Maximum of 10 Players per team to ensure all players receive the correct development

Atmosphere of learning that will challenge and engage athletes of all experiences
Responsive Adaptability
Engaging with families in advance, we provide opportunity and time to make meaningful changes to meet the needs of our families. Your feedback will help influence:
Gym location chosen in area closest to majority of families (no more 30 min. drives to a 1 hr. practice)
Practice nights are consistently on the same weeknight (ex. Wednesday evenings 7 - 9pm)
Tournaments chosen for both in-town and out-of-town (consulting with families for availability)
Communicating to families with clarity to ensure their time and money is valued
Providing a variety of financial payment options to ensure we help meet the needs of families
Financial Efficiency
We offer the most competitive pricing in Calgary!
Other programs charge more $$$ for less value (ex. Average Base Cost for Other Programs are ~ $1600; we are at $1350 or less)
No hidden costs | Pay for what you Receive
Many clubs charge the same if not more $ for the ‘lesser skilled’ teams, and give less development time, so that they can use these profits to pay for the ‘elite’ teams.
At Sonics, we budget with fiscal responsibility and transparency. Families pay for their child’s development, not for other players.

Opportunities for Your Future
At Sonics, we have meaningful connections with Coaches, Scouts, Athletic Directors, and other staff for basketball programs throughout Canada.
These connections give our Sonics players and families the opportunity to achieve their goals (ex. Make the high school team, recruited to University teams, etc.)
Our connections continue to develop throughout Alberta, Manitoba, BC, Manitoba, and more. These include:
High Schools within the CBE, CCSD, and Private
Prep Programs
ACAC Programs (ex. Ambrose University)
USport Programs (ex. Brandon University)
Why Sonics?
“Our family is loving the Sonics Basketball program. They offer a holistic program that trains the whole athlete - physically and mentally. The coaches utilize drills and concepts that are age appropriate and engaging for players in a positively competitive environment. They give players feedback that is constructive and supportive. Families also receive regular and clear communications from coaches as well as being available for discussions. We have seen our boys gain skills and confidence since joining. With so many options out there, Sonics basketball offers great value for their programs.”
